Overview of Son My Industrial Zone 1
Son My 1 Industrial Park is approved to register the investment certificate by the Management Board of the Industrial Zones of Binh Thuan Province. The project was agreed by the Prime Minister to invest in Official Letter No. 1956 dated December 20, 2017.
- Total project area: 1,070 ha.
- Project location: Located in Son My commune, Ham Tan district, Binh Thuan province.
- Investor: Construction and Infrastructure Investment Co., Ltd. (IPico).
- Total project capital: about VND 9,000 billion.

Son My 1 project will be developed focused on industries such as:
- Construction materials manufacturing industry.
- The manufacturing and manufacturing of electrical equipment, electronics and information technology.
- Mechanical and manufacturing industry.
- Consumer and food processing industry.
- Electricity center.
The planning of Son My 1 Industrial Park is planned with the main function including:
- Enterprise land, factory.

- Technical infrastructure hub.
- Green and water surface.
Prominent in the main planning area are two large gas power plants with a total power supply capacity of 4,500 MW. These 2 factories are Son My 1 and Son My 2 gas plant.
Model of Son My 1 Industrial Park in Binh Thuan
At the start of construction of Son My Industrial Park, with the participation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the commencement was successfully implemented. Along with that, the image of the project table is also displayed at the event.
Son My Industrial Park is constructed with a model ratio of 1/2000. The entire size of the table is 3200 x 2600 mm.
Similar to the industrial parks that we have implemented, this percentage of this model shows the planning positions of the Industrial Park. Seaports, operating houses, power plants and other items as required from the investor.

Events on Son My 1 Industrial Park in Binh Thuan
On the afternoon of August 30, 2022, the event of commencement of Son My Industrial Zone project in Son My commune, Ham Tan district, Binh Thuan province was held. The event with the participation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. The project with development orientation under the model of intelligent, ecological, circulating and environmentally friendly industrial park.
Son My 2 Gas Power Project was awarded the decision to approve the investment policy.
On February 5, 2023, in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province, Minister of Industry and Trade – Nguyen Hong Dien awarded the decision to approve the investment policy of Son My 2 Electricity Project (CCGT) to the Company AES Vietnam in the framework of the investment promotion conference and implementing the action plan, implementing Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
Ham Tan district in southern Binh Thuan has great potential for development in the industry. Currently, there have been a number of large -scale industrial park projects that have been investing in this locality. The development of industry is identified as one of the top key tasks, in order to create a breakthrough in the district’s socio -economic development.

The total area of 76.86 hectares shows that the scale of this project is very large, this is a notable project in the province’s industry.
